WellnessComplete uses the time tested protocol for weight-loss resistant people developed by Dr. A.T.W. Simeon, a British born, German trained doctor who served and practiced around the world until toward the end of his career where he researched and practiced in Rome, Italy. After studying hCG and a reduced calorie diet for over 10 years he wrote his Pounds and Inches Protocol.

In 1959 Dr. Simeon worked with pre-pubescent males. These individuals ranged in age from 14 – 22 who had not yet reached puberty, also known as Cryptorchidism. Cryptorchidism is the failure of the testes to descend into the scrotum. Dr. Simeon found that these males often were over weight as well. He began trials using the hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). In addition to helping these males achieve puberty he found that the use of hCG, combined with a restricted diet, for either 23 or 40 days, produced weight-loss.

Dr. Simeon spent the following 10 years perfecting the hCG weight-loss protocol for men and women. He found that the use of hCG combined with a restricted calorie diet for either 23 or 40 days produced, on average, weight-loss of one pound per day.

hCG has been approved by the FDA for the treatment of Cryptorchidism, Infertility and Anti-aging and has been in use for over 40 years. Reported side effects of the Anti-aging use have been weight loss.

HCG has not been demonstrated to be effective adjunctive therapy in the treatment of obesity. There is no substantial evidence that it increases weight loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or "normal" distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie-restricted diets.

However, if you were to ask any of those who have already participated in the protocol they would tell you differently
